Olaf Wipperfürth was born in Düsseldorf, Germany. He studied philosophy and art history before he moved to Paris in the late ninties to finalize his doctorate, “L'instant dans l'Art et dans la philosophie contemporaine” (The “moment” in contemporary art and philosophy), published in 1999. Following his professional life is exclusively dedicated to his passion for photography + film, projecting his theoretical and conceptual knowledge into his artistic universe. Inspired by the intense imagery of Film, theater and modern dance, Olaf Wipperfürth generates an amazing, captivating body of work over the years. His excuisite lighting combined with a rare talent of capturing movement and emotion, makes his cinematic photography unique and internationally renowned. Olaf's art is shown in various exhibitions and book publications, his fashion and beauty photography is published in the leading magazines and in major brand advertisements.
