Jan Welters is a Dutch photographer who has been capturing beauty from behind the lens for over 30 years. Shooting iconic fashion images for the likes of Paris, German, Dutch and American editions of Vogue, and a regular contributor to French and British Elle, Italian Marie Claire and Vanity Fair, his strong edge and experience speaks for itself. 

Jan has been trusted by some of the worlds most coveted brands to help define their vision for their ad campaigns. This exceptional client list includes: Balenciaga, Lanvin, Dior, Victoria Secret, Nike, Chaumet, Goop, H&M,  Princess Tam Tam, Jil Sander fragrance,  Lancel, Mango, Ères, L’Oréal Paris, Garnier, Vichy, Printemps and Bloomingdale’s.

Portrait photography has always  fueled Jan’s creative passion and he’s been fortunate enough to shoot some of the world’s most inspiring celebrities. These include Charlotte Gainsbourg, Keira Knightley, Cate Blanchett, Helen Mirren, Tilda Swinton, Sienna Miller, Gwyneth Paltrow, Vanessa Paradis, Marion Cotillard, Lou Doillon, Drew Barrymore, Kristen Stewart, Courtney Love, PJ Harvey, Nick Cave, John Galliano, Marc Jacobs, Alber Elbaz,Giorgio Armani, Jean Paul Gaultier.

In 2019, Jan published his first book, Profile with Damiani. Enjoying shooting again in Europe, he resides in The South of France with his wife and 2 children.
