Ellen grew up in a small Dutch town near the German border where she attended the hairdressing school and here she unfolded her passion for hair. 
 After finishing school she worked in several hairsalons for almost 10 years. 
 Although being happy at her job she felt that her ambitions grew bigger and she wanted to expand her horizon. 
 To optimalize her talents, Ellen got an opportunity to join a specialised hairstyling education and one of the best make up schools in Amsterdam to develop her hair and make up skills. After moving to Amsterdam, Ellen explored herself in both hair and make up and over time she created her own signature look which she still exhibits today, natural and minimal with an extra touch, highlighting the real unfiltered beauty of the model. Soon after, Ellen became a freelance hair and make up artist and with her ambitions, this opened up many opportunities which she happily embraced with open arms. Throughout her career Ellen worked for many big brands, designers and magazines like ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue. To stay inspired and keep developping, Ellen became a member of Sam McKnight’s hair team and for many years now she travels the known fashion cities to work for the big shows like Chanel, Balmain, Dries van Noten, Fendi, Max Mara, Vivienne Westwood and many more. For over 15 years Ellen works as a freelance artists travelling the world to follow her passion, creating beautiful looks... wherever it takes her!
